This is Techno Body Music! Es gibt wohl kaum einen Act, der diese Musikrichtung stärker geprägt hat als Andy LaPlegua mit seinem Projekt Combichrist. Auf seinem lange erwarteten neuen Longplayer „Today We Are All Demons“ würzt er seine wilde Abgeh-Mischung aus EBM und Techno mit einer gehörigen Prise Industrial und Aggrotech auf einem Fundament aus reinrassiger Elekronik. Der gegenüber dem Vorgängeralbum erhöhte Härtegrad und der wieder deutlich europäischere Sound stehen Combichrist gut zu Gesicht: wenn Andy LaPlegua seine inneren Dämonen exorziert und sich zu sattem Gewummere und krachiger Elektronik seine Wut aus dem Leib kotzt, dann ist das Club-Inferno perfekt. Außerdem ist Schlitzohr LaPlegua auch inmitten des gröbsten Höllenlärms noch immer ein Meister darin, fette Beats und satte Basslinien mit zielsicheren Hooklines zu Tracks mit Wiedererkennungswert zusammen zu zimmern. Songs wie „All Pain Is Gone“, „Kick Start The Fight“ oder das von der Vorab-EP bekannte „Sent To Destroy“ sind knallharte No-Nonsense Dance-Nummern, die trotz alledem Ohrwurmcharakter haben. Die limitierte Erstauflage des Albums wird wieder im edlen Digipak mit einer Bonus CD, auf der Andy seinen kranken Soundfantasien freien Lauf lässt, erscheinen. On his eagerly awaited new long player “Today We Are All Demons”, he spiffs up his wild mix of EBM and Techno with a solid dose of Industrial and Aggrotech on a foundation of pure Electro. The increased hardness-factor and the thoroughly European sound of the new album are very effective: when Andy LaPlegua exorcises his inner demons and screams out his anger at the world to massive thudding beats and noisy electronics, Combichrist becomes a perfect club inferno.
